Who are we:

Ninja Stars was created by local mum and long-term gymnastics coach, Lora Evans. With two small children and limited opportunities for local classes that fit the budget, she decided it was time to make something happen. Since 2018, when her tiniest Ninja was just 6 months old, she has been running recreational classes in Glenroy for ages 0-12.

Lora has been coaching gymnastics for 20 years, was a previous high-level competitive cheerleader, and founded then coached the Melbourne University cheerleading teams from 2012-2019. Lora completed her Masters of Speech Pathology in 2021 and is developing programs that incorporate gymnastics during speech therapy - see our sister website www.languagegym.com.au for more details!

In 2021, Lauren Potenza joined our team, allowing us to provide more classes for more children. Lauren is an experienced gymnastics coach of 10 years and is also a Speech Pathologist!

We have also recently welcomed our junior coaches Aneesa and Tomo who bring enthusiastic energy and experience working with diverse children in other roles.

Our goal is for all people, from all backgrounds and all abilities will have the opportunity to join in gymnastics classes.

Gymnastics is a fantastic all around sport that develops strength, flexibility, resilience and body awareness. These attributes give you life-long benefits, especially when you have the chance to continue training at an appropriate level through all stages of life.

Location:

Over the years as a set-up/pack-up gym, we have operated from a variety of locations and have been kindly hosted by local businesses Fighting Arts Fitness Centre, Belle Vue Park primary school and our wonderful neighbours Body By Nawel.

But now we have a found a new permanent home at 1/17 Kraft Court Broadmeadows and can’t wait to share our permanent dedicated gymnastics space with you all!
